Police Investigate Home Invasion in Poway

A Poway man was hospitalized with contusions to his head after a home invasion at his home Friday night.

Our media partner, the North County Times, reported the story Friday.

Two masked men broke into a window of a home in the 1300 block of Poway Creek Road just before 8:20 p.m., Sgt. Chad Boudreau told the NCT.

Once inside, they grabbed a woman in the front door and demanded cash.

The two robbers then went to the back of the home, where the woman’s husband was in the shower. The robbers beat the man and then left the home, fleeing inside an unknown car.

It was not clear what the pair of robbers got away with and the robbery lasted two to eight minutes, Boudreau said.

The couple's children were not home, Boudreau told the paper, and he described the neighborhood as quiet.

The woman wasn’t injured during the incident and her husband was taken to a hospital.
