A motorcyclist died Thursday evening in a crash in El Cajon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Witnesses called 911 at about 8:30 p.m., reporting a rider was possibly under a white vehicle after a crash at N. Magnolia Avenue and Cypress Lane.
Emergency responders tried to perform CPR on the motorcyclist, but the patient was pronounced dead 10 minutes later.
The driver involved in the crash stayed at the scene.
The road was reopened shortly after the crash was cleared. Investigators do not know if drugs or alcohol were involved.
