Marine Arrested for Shooting at Bouncer's Car

Mario Shelby was arrested for shooting at an unoccupied car

Authorities say a Camp Pendleton Marine has been arrested on suspicion of shooting at an unoccupied car outside an Orange County bar.

Sheriff's Lt. Ted Boyne says 23-year-old Mario Shelby allegedly fired seven or eight shots early Saturday at a Honda owned by a bouncer at Hennessey's in Dana Point.

Witnesses said the shooter and three other men fled in a red sedan.

Officers discovered the four sitting in a red Lincoln with a 40-caliber handgun in the glove box.

Shelby is expected to be charged with felony vandalism and discharge of a firearm.
