The lights went up over the Thanksgiving weekend.

A sign of the season will greet drivers entering La Jolla thanks to a mystery benefactor.

The lighted sign “Season’s Greetings” hangs on the pedestrian bridge above Torrey Pines Road connecting Hotel La Jolla to The Children’s School.

Last week, an anonymous donor stepped up with about $1600 to cover the cost of putting the sign up according to our media partners the La Jolla Light.

Community volunteer Darcey Ashley told the paper that the sign was about to go up over the weekend.

The electricity for the sign is provided by Hotel La Jolla.
