Firefighters quickly extinguished a fast-moving brush fire in Rancho Bernardo Monday.
The fire started in the 15000-block of Bernardo Center Dr. and Camino Del Norte just before 3 p.m. near the Deer Wood Apartments.
Several firefighters were on hand to protect the apartment complex and to battle the flames, investigators said.
The fire was quickly put out, but not before it burned three acres of land.
