Cops Hunting 3rd Molestation Suspect

San Diego police said they are seeking a third suspect in a child abuse case that involves a baby sitter accused of being paid to allow child molesters access to young children.

Officers arrested Aaron Zendejas, 24, on Jan. 28. He faces several charges, including kidnapping, child molestation and child pornography. San Diego police detectives said they got a tip that Zendejas, an East County baby sitter, was molesting children in his care. Detectives said they collected evidence from a cell phone and computer belonging to Zendejas.

An arrest warrant charging Jared Ravin Yaffe, 30, with child molestation was also issued. Investigators said that they linked Yaffe to the molestation case involving Zendejas.

Investigators believe Zendejas was paid to bring children to pedophiles so they could be photographed and molested.  Police said Yaffe might have also been involved in videotaping the molestation of young children.

During the investigation of Zendejas and Yaffe, detectives believe a third suspect, a babysitter who goes by the name of “Nick” may have provided children for Yaffe to victimize.   “Nick” is described as approximately 18-years-old, 5 feet 8 inches tall with a slim build.

Police are asking anyone who may have used Zendejas as a baby sitter to call police immediately.

Anyone with information about "Nick" or Yaffe's whereabouts or information concerning the case is asked to contact the San Diego police at 619-531-2000. Tips can be called in anonymously to San Diego County-Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.
