Rising Temperatures Lead to Rising Crime Rates | The week's heat wave resulted in multiple killings and other gun-related incidents. One man was killed and eight more were injured Monday night.

An armed man bound the hands and taped over the eyes and mouth of a clerk at an airport shuttle service during robbery in Midtown Sunday night.

The man, who police say was armed with a handgun, wore a dark colored mask and a grey hoodie as he opened the doors to the clerk’s booth displaying a gun. Once inside, he put tape on the clerk’s eyes and mouth and bound the clerk’s hands with a shoestring.

Police say the man left in an unknown direction and made off with an undisclosed amount of money. Reportedly the clerk was not seriously injured.
