Jason Verrett, the 25th overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, signed a 4-year contract with the Chargers on Thursday. The Bolts now have their entire draft class signed up.
Financial details are not yet available, but it's expected to be in the range of $7.5 million with a signing bonus of just over $4 million.
An All-American defensive back for TCU, Verrett will be given every opportunity to start for a San Diego pass defense that ranked 29th in the NFL in 2013 and released former starter Derek Cox after the season.
Verrett is recovering from labrum surgery but is expected to be ready when the Chargers open training camp in July.
