Car Slams into El Cajon Bakery

The accident happened after two vehicles collided on Fletcher Parkway, sending one car into a bakery

A two-vehicle collision in El Cajon Thursday ended with one driver slamming her car into a bakery.

El Cajon police said the crash occurred on the 2300 block of Fletcher Parkway just before 4 p.m.

Witnesses said a truck and Toyota Camry collided, which then sent the Camry into the Flour Power Cakery.

The Camry was driven by a woman who also had her baby in the car. Neither was injured.

Ashley Davis, whose family owns the bakery, told NBC 7 San Diego there was a man inside the bakery at the time of the crash who did sustain moderate injuries.

Medics were requested to treat the victim. His current condition is unknown.

Davis said his family’s bakery building suffered minimal damages, but everyone at the scene was certainly shaken up by the accident.

“I’m just glad everybody is okay. [This is] definitely out of the ordinary for our bakery. We don’t expect anything like this to happen again,” said Davis.

Police are investigating the accident.
