A two-alarm reposnse has been requested for a brush fire in Oceanside, burning in the same area as a similar fire on Tuesday.
Oceanside Fire Department firefighters said the fire broke out around 12:49 p.m. near State Route 78, close to College Boulevard and Haymar Drive.
At 3:40 p.m., fire officials said it was 20 percent contained and no structures were threatened.
Air support assisted the firefighters.
Fire officials said there is heavy fire activity today.
