Brick-Throwing Burglar Strikes in La Jolla

A crook in La Jolla may not be subtle, but he is getting the job done.

Bricks broke the windows of three La Jolla Businesses on March 31, police spokesman Gary Hassen told the La Jolla Light. The suspect -- who has not been identified -- smashed his way into three neighboring businesses located in La Jolla Village Square in the 8600 block of Villa La Jolla. Jamba Juice, Fins and Zpizza were the targeted businesses struck.

The robber stole a tip jar and damaged two registers at Jamba Juice. The losses at Zpizza’s have not been made public. Fins escaped unscathed with the exception of the shattered window.

Surveillance cameras at Fins caught the incident on tape, which shows a male suspect wearing a hat.
