A mysterious prankster gave an appropriate costume to the Cardiff Kook Sunday.

The famed statue in Cardiff-by-the-Sea was dressed in a helmet with the number 343 on it, representing the number of firefighters and paramedics who lost their lives on 9/11.

Below the statue, a sign read “Never Forget. United We Stand.”

Tourists and locals took pictures of the statue all day. Officials do not know who dressed the statue.
