10-Acre Brush Fire Burning at Camp Pendleton

As of 6 p.m. forward progress has been stopped and air assets have been released on the 10 to 15-acre brush fire burning in the northwest portion of base area 64 on Camp Pendleton.

The fire started around 3:45 p.m. Saturday, the US Forest Service (USFS) confirmed. 

The fire is near the San Diego County/Orange County line at the north of Camp Pendleton, by the Pay/Travel Office and Reserve Support Unit, according to a base map. 

The Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA), CAL FIRE and USFS firefighters from Cleveland National Forest are supporting. 

No other information was immediately available.
