The agent for Miami-born singer Sean Kingston says the singer walked for the first time Monday and is breathing on his own following last week's jet ski accident.

Joseph Carozza says the 21-year-old "Beautiful Girls" singer is in serious condition at Jackson Memorial Hospital. Last week Kingston was listed in critical condition after crashing his jet ski into a Miami Beach bridge.

Kingston and a female passenger were injured when their Sea Doo struck the bridge connecting Palm Island with the MacArthur Causeway at approximately 6 p.m. on May 29th, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation spokesman Jorge Pino said.

Pino said both the singer and his passenger were pulled from the water by a helpful boater.

Both were taken to Ryder Trauma Center.

“Sean thanks his friends, family, and fans for their outpouring of prayers and well wishes,” a statement issued Monday by Carozza read.
