Kings of Leon Cancel London Show Due to Fire

For the second time this year, the Kings of Leon were forced to cancel a show because of a freak accident.

The arena rock band, which was set to do a show at London's 02 Arena, had to postpone the gig after their tour buses caught on fire, reports the BBC.

The blaze started in a loading bay and spread from one bus to the other. 60 firefighters were called to the scene and six people were eventually treated for smoke inhalation.

A survey of the damage led to the show's cancellation.

"Unfortunately, once the assessments were completed in full, there was not enough time to set up the show for tonight's performance," a spokesman for the 02 said.

A spokesman for the London Fire Brigade (LFB) said that while no damage had been done to the arena, both buses had been completely hollowed out by the fire, leaving little time to set up the show.

"Our crew did a fantastic job, especially given the levels of smoke down here which has led to quite challenging conditions," said LFB sation manager Sally Cartwright.

Earlier this year at a gig in St. Louis, the band walked off mid-performance after pigeon droppings bombarded the stage. Singer Jared Followill was hit in the face and mouth with the bird's droppings and the band deemed the conditions too unsanitary to continue.
