Kris Humphries Booed By NYC Fans In Preseason Game

"That's villain in the Garden kind of booing," says Madison Square Garden announcer Al Trautwig.

Kris Humphries received a less-than-warm welcome back to the basketball court on Wednesday.

Following the announcement of Kris' re-signing with the New Jersey Nets – with a hefty pay raise to $8 million a year-- the 26-year-old athlete was booed mercilessly during his first game back with the team against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.

"That was not a smattering of boos," Madison Square Garden announcer Al Trautwig remarked during the overwhelming heckling. "That's villain in the Garden kind of booing."

Kris seemed to take the animosity in stride, telling ESPN he worked hard to block out the booing.

"I felt like Rudy out there," he said, when asked if he was surprised by the crowd's response.

"I was so focused on the game, I couldn't hear that," he added, sarcastically.

To add insult to injury, the Jersey team lost to the Knicks by six points.

Sadly, that wasn't the only blow to Kris' ego this week.

Earlier in the week, K-Humps was voted the most disliked player in the NBA, in a survey conducted by Nielsen E-Poll Market Research.
