Katie Holmes will appear on Broadway this fall in a dark comedy from the creator of "Smash."
Katie Holmes was supposed to walk her first red carpet since she and Tom Cruise divorced at this Saturday's Dizzy Feet Foundation gala.
Not that we could blame her, but Ms. Holmes has decided to skip the festivities. Her rep just confirmed that the former Dawson's Creek darling won't be in attendance.
The foundation, which supports dance education throughout the U.S., was started three years ago by Holmes, Nigel Lythgoe, Adam Shankman and Carrie Ann Inaba.
Saturday's Celebration of Dance will include performances by Glee stars Harry Shum Jr. and Chord Overstreet, former and current contestants from So You Think You Can Dance and Dancing With the Stars and the cast of the movie Step Up Revolution. (While the highest price tix went for $400, general admission is as low as $35.)
Katie recently took Suri (on a commercial flight!) to visit with her family in Ohio, before returning to New York two days ago.
