Jackson Insomnia Letter to Lisa Marie Pulled from Auction

Lisa Marie Presley requested that the handwritten note be taken off the auction block

A letter Michael Jackson penned to Lisa Marie Presley, complaining about insomnia, has been pulled from an auction at Presley's request.

The note, scribbled on yellow paper, was sent to Presley sometime between 1993 and 1996, more than a decade before Jackson died after requesting powerful medication to help him sleep.

"Lisa I truly need this rest I haven't slept litterally (sic) in 4 days now. I need to be away from phones and business people. I must take care of my health first Im' (sic) crazy for you," the note said, according to Reuters.

Julien's Auctions, which had the item listed in a "Music Icons" auction slated for June 23 and 24, pulled the letter Wednesday at the request of Presley, to whom Jackson was married between 1994 and 1996.

Julien told E! Online that the letter was taken off the block because of the note's "personal nature," and his desire to maintain a good relationship with Presley, who asked that it be removed.

The pop icon died in 2009 after a long battle with insomnia and prescription drugs. His personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, was convicted last year of involuntary manslaughter for giving Jackson deadly doses of sedatives after the pop star begged for something to help him sleep.
