Camille Grammer meets Kelsey's New Gal

Awkward, but all for the kids

Camille Grammer met ex Kelsey's new lady, and it went a lot better than you might expect, according to the deposed "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star.

"I saw Kelsey today and I met Kayte [Walsh] for the first time," Camille Grammer told PopEater. "It was a little uncomfortable at first, but then I met her and I shook her hand and I looked into her eyes and I thought, 'She's OK, she's nice.'"

The 42-year-old reality TV actress has been cast a a villain on the show, but said she is taking the high road with her famous ex for the sake of their kids.

"It's really important for me and Kelsey to be friends and amicable for our children's sake," she told the site's Rob Shuter. "Because you know, we have to co-parent and that's the correct way to do it."

But at the same time, she is trying to buy time in their divorce proceedings, which she says Kelsey is trying to speed up so he can get remarried quickly. Earlier this week, she asked a judge to deny his request to dissolve their marriage while they fight over money.

The request is "solely for the reason that he intends to remarry as soon as possible," Camille Grammer's lawyers wrote. "I do not believe his is a sufficient reason to prejudice my rights to the community estate, especially given the large and complex nature of our estate."

The "Frasier" actor, 55, filed for divorce after 13 years of marriage over the summer after falling in love with Cayte while he was in New York, performing in the Broadway production of "La Cage Aux Folles." At the time, Camille Grammer was shooting the reality show.

"I found out during filming that he wanted out and that he had moved another woman into our apartment in New York and she had gotten pregnant," she says. "And I ended up the bad guy!"

She also laughed off comments she made earlier this week on Howard Stern's radio show, in which she said Kelsey Grammer likes to dress up in woman's clothing.

"I was joking," she said. "I have known Howard for years and when you agree to do his show you know you have to play."
