The Princess Project

The Princess Project, because every young lady deserves to feel like a princess on prom night!

What will become of that gorgeous prom dress that you know won’t see the light of day again if it stays in your closet?  Donate your dress to The Princess Project!  Thanks to this local non-profit, now in its 11th year, gowns of yester year can have a second chance at making a young woman feel, well, like a princess!  The Princess Project collects new and gently used prom dresses and accessories, providing them free to high school girls who could otherwise not afford them.  Just in the last year, The Princess Project was able to provide 850 girls with dresses in just the San Diego area alone and this year the goal is to reach over a 1000 girls. The Princess Project is teaming up with Westfield Horton Plaza to host the 4th Annual Princess Project Runway event, March 18th which will feature students from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandise (FIDM) demonstrating a live interactive draping and the production of a final prom dress. Collection will begin on March 18th and last until March 31st.  Giveaway events will take place April 18th till the 26th at Westfield Horton Plaza.  Help to make this year the year every girl gets to go to prom.  For more information on how to receive a prom dress or how you can help The Princess Project please check out the link below.
