Sounds Like San Diego: October 4

Just about every eight months, you're going to get a gushing post from me about Rocky Votolato, so here it is again. Votolato is easily one of my Top 5 favorite songwriters of my generation. I've been a fan for a very long time. I remember the first time I heard "Burning My Travels Clean" on an online streaming radio station, I remember buying the record and subsequently buying everything else he had released to that point, and I remember seeing him at the Che Cafe for the first time with about 12 other people. That was more than a decade ago, and I'm still the fan I was then. His albums show amazing growth, and I feel like I share that growth in my own life, which is why I've been loyal all of these years. He was here in February on a solo tour testing out some new material, but this time he's back with a full band playing a set list voted on and aggregated by fans (via his mailing list). I like surprises, but I also like going into a show knowing that most of my favorite songs from his lengthy career will be played. This tour is extra special as Rocky is joined by Matt Pond PA, a headliner in his own right.
