This month is flying by and we are just about to hit that part around Thanksgiving where only the bravest of road warriors tour the country. That means we'll get into a cool pattern of local music but find that touring bands are just not around.
Fortunately, that isn't the case just yet, so on Thursday you can choose from Metz, the Misfits, Jens Lekman or, if you did some pre-planning, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion (which is already sold out if you don't have tickets). I never intend to put touring bands against locals, so you can also check out Ghetto Blaster at Tin Can with a full face-melty lineup, or head to Bar Pink for the always impressive Maren Parusel.
Of course there are plenty of other shows all the way down the line, so even if you're more of the downtown-y type person, perhaps Hyena at Block 16 will be the ones to make your night magical. So many options, so little time. Thursdays still rule this town, so get out and explore all the goodness.
