It's humpday and while there are no massive concerts to satiate your earbuds, Wednesday offers some great small shows that will make you get that "I was there" feeling. The Riverboat Gamblers offer that skate-punk vibe while crossing over to a little bit of country, giving them that perfect mix of musicianship and street cred. Hey Rosetta! is over at the Soda Bar, so that certainly is a score. The Canadian band was shortlisted for the Polaris Prize, a well known marker for the next best thing out of our northern neighbors. With Mishka at the Belly Up and the Calico Kids at the Tin Can, there are some seriously great live options on Wednesday night so be sure to get off the couch and check them out.
