Tonight doesn't offer a huge selection of live music, but there are a few solid picks, enough that I still haven't quite committed to a show. The Casbah and Soda Bar are both featuring indie bands that hit big on the blogosphere, so you're gonna have to make a choice where to ride your fixie. Vivian Girls have led the charge of a resurrection of girl bands, and they do it well. Beach Fossils hail from Brooklyn and do the fuzzed-out indie thing, with simple guitar lines and a touch of melancholy to their otherwise chill sound. Then, of course, there's always Stevie and the Hi-Stax over at Bar Pink if you just need to shake your thing and dance the Mondays out.
