Cash'd Out

When it comes to holidays landing on weekends, 2012 is dealing a pretty good set of cards. St. Patrick's Day in San Diego is offering the usual goods, like ShamROCK in the Gaslamp and Hooleyfest at both Hooleys locations. But if being green isn't your thing, it's also a Saturday night so you've got your regular selections of shows. Mini Mansions rock the Tin Can, and the Casbah hosts Cash'd Out (which, let's be honest, only happens once or twice a year and generally to a sold-out walk-up crowd, so get there early.) Personally, I'd go for the Down's Family over at Eleven, where you'll get a little bit of Irish flair without the rookie weekend-warriors. Wherever you go, be safe: There will be DUI checkpoints all over the county and you don't want to forever memorialize St. Paddy's as the day you went to jail.
