If you believe that Thursday is the new Friday, then another week is already drawing to a close with some great music offerings in town. At the Loft at UCSD, Canadian singer/songwriter Patrick Watson will take the stage and certainly find some new young fans on the university campus, though he's certainly has a loyal fan base after several tours through San Diego. At the Casbah, members of Fleet Foxes and other notable bands have joined forces as Poor Moon. Though the band's debut won't be released until late August, the songs have been in the works for seven years and the longtime friends make their Casbah debut together, though of course they've appeared with their other projects. Be sure to get there early for Josh Ottum, one of my newest local favorites.
