It's a big anniversary weekend here in San Diego. If you're a native to this town, you know that two of the biggest icons in the music world are the Casbah and the "cutting edge of rock" of 91x. Over the years, the former has pretty much stayed exactly the same, while the latter has gone through its share of changes, but there is something pretty special about both, and you can double celebrate on Saturday. 91x's birthday bash is at the House of Blues with San Diego bands who've endured decades:Slightly Stoopid, P.O.D., Buck-o-nine, and the Rugburns, but since you can't buy tickets to this show, you still have a chance to celebrate with the Casbah as they present a killer lineup for the official bash (though, of course, the celebration continues all month long. It's going to be a pretty great night, so grab your scarf and gloves, and enjoy the chilly temperatures with a night of San Diego history.
