We here at SoundDiego are big fans of Al Howard. Yes, sometimes he writes for us, but that's only when he has time being the main songwriter for the Heavy Guilt, Black Sands and Midnight Pine. His birthday is this week, and he's celebrating with some friends as the Heavy Guilt headline at Soda Bar. We've sneak-peeked their forthcoming record, and we think it's pretty great, and you'll probably be hearing much of it played on Saturday. Speaking of birthdays, our friend Steve Poltz has his 4th Annual 50th Birthday Party at the Belly Up. With guests like Tristan Prettyman and Toad the Wet Sprocket's Glen Philips, you really can't go wrong. Birthdays abound. Cupcakes not included.
