The weekend is finally here, and there are so many shows to get out and enjoyt. Ellis Paul performs at AMSD, Mouse on Mars headline at Soda Bar and the Casbah hosts a show with some of San Diego's favorite homegrown bands. The latter will be especially cool, as the Palace Ballroom's set will be shot in HD and will be the first live concert ever broadcast live via satellite on Facebook. The show I'm really excited about on Friday,, however is Ra Ra Riot. The Syracuse-based band is touring in support of its third record, Beta Love, which finds the band abandoning its lush string arrangements for an almost all-electronic sound that still keeps the Ra Ra Riot aesthetic intact. We'll be at the show interviewing and shooting the band for an upcoming episode of SoundDiego TV, but we recommend seeing the show live because this is one indie band that always pleases.
