Head and the Heart Take Aim at SD

The Head and the Heart have San Diego in their sights

One of the biggest indie-rock acts to hit that recent massive music festival in Indio are coming to San Diego.

The Seattle-based folk rockers the Head and the Heart -- who impressed Coachella concert-goers over the past two weekends with their engaging, passionate performances -- will make a slightly more southern trek come Aug. 11, when the Casbah and KPRi present the band's just-announced headlining show at the new-and-improved North Park Theatre.

Touring off last October's critically acclaimed hit album Let's Be Still, the Sub Pop Records sextet not only reaches new heights on the upcoming tour (LA's Hollywood Bowl, Berkeley's Greek Theatre, the Red Rocks Amphitheatre), the band is also scheduled to play the biggest festivals around (in addition to Coachella, of course), with dates confirmed for Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Governor's Ball and Boston Calling.

And while that's all fine and good, what San Diego music fans want to know is: When can I get tickets to see them here? Well, you won't have long to wait. Tickets go on sale here to the public on Friday, April 25, at 10 a.m. PST. The show is 21+ and general admission tickets are $27.50.
