Gorillaz are only playing a handful of shows on the North American tour -- which starts Oct. 3 in Montreal -- including a rare performance at San Diego's Viejas Arena on Oct. 28.
Gorillaz's live show, consisting of material from all three multiplatinum albums, incorporates video animation, artwork and innovative light and stage design. A headlining slot at Coachella 2010 to a crowd of 70,000 people, left those in attendance -- present company included -- absolutely speechless.
Tickets for the San Diego show go on-sale on Friday via livenation.com. Members of the Gorillaz fanclub, the Sub-Division, can take advantage of a 48-hour exclusive pre-sale prior to the sale to the general public. To join Sub-Division, go to www.gorillaz.com/subdivision.
Other relatively-nearby Gorillaz shows include the following shows (tickets are already on sale):
- Oct. 26: Phoenix, Dodge Theatre
- Oct. 27: Los Angeles, Gibson Amphitheatre
- Oct. 30: Oakland, Oracle Arena
