Foals Bring ‘Life' to HOB

Indie rockers Foals and the Kills have teamed up for a tour, and they plan to stop in San Diego later this month.

Since Foals released their latest album, Total Life Forever, and their single "Spanish Sahara," the band has hurtled to indie stardom. As a result, Foals have been on a touring blitz, galloping across the country, and even gracing the Texas stage of Austin City Limits.

The band is also known for putting on an intense show; when Foals played the Casbah last October, Owl and Bear writer Jake Feala had this to say: "Everyone ...in the sold-out crowd went buck-wild and shouted every lyric.... It was quite possibly the wildest dancing I’ve ever seen at the Casbah." For a sample of the Foals' music, check out the video for ""Spanish Sahara," as well as their song "Balloons" (MP3s) from Total Life Forever.

While much hay has been made of Foals' unbridled enthusiasm, the Kills are also slaying critics everywhere. The band is set to release its fourth studio album, Blood Pressures, on April 4. For a sample of their music, you can check out a number of Blood Pressures tracks here.

Foals and the Kills will play the House of Blues on April 15. Get your tickets here.
