“Popular” Lyricist Performs at Old Globe

One-night only engagement for Stephen Schwartz to promote new play

Talk about hot.  From "Wicked" to "Pippin" to "Godspell" Stephen Schwartz composed and wrote them all. He's won Tony after Tony, Oscar after Oscar and Grammy after Grammt. Now the award-winning talent will perform for one night only March 9 at the Old Globe Theatre.

He's in San Diego to showcase his new play "Working" which runs at theOld Globe through April 12.

Schwartz will be center-stage for an evening of unforgettable music and memories, with some of Broadway's best singer/actors, including, Debbie Gravitte, Liz Callaway and Scoulter, performing Schwartz's most beloved songs according to Lou Spisto, Old Globe Executive Producer. "With only 600 seats, the Old Globe  theater will offer patrons a unique and intimate evening that is truly up close and personal with the legendary composer and show stopping performances of his work by this well-known Broadway cast."

TheOld Globe is also offering 50 special tickets at $139 each to "Stephen Schwartz and Friends", which includes admission to the show and an exclusive "meet and greet" event with Stephen Schwartz after the show.
