Gearing up for a fun and busy weekend in San Diego as we soak up every last minute of summertime!

On Friday, don't miss the 30th Anniversary of XFest at the Sleep Train Amphitheatre. Eleven awesome bands, featuring hometown boys Blink-182, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Offspring, Jimmy Eat World, Silversun Pickups, Dirty Heads, Fitz & the Tantrums, Wavves, New Politics, Atlas Genius and Iamdynamite. Doors are at 2:30 p.m. and the show starts at 3 p.m. SoundDiego will be there covering the event, so look for plenty of photos and video in the coming days. Afterward, try to catch the last few hours of F---ing in the Bushes at the Whistle Stop for your fix of Brit pop, with DJs Rob Moran and Daniel Sant.

Adult Swim Saturday at Dive Dayclub out at Harrah's Resort features Makj; you can info here. Saturday night, get your dance on with MayStar's Fashion Whore at U-31. Arrive early for the fashion show, and then dance afterward with DJ Tigh. Get more details via this link. DJs Gabe Vega and Saul Q bust out the '80s vs. '90s action at the Whistle Stop, while Neon Beat takes over Bar Pink with the best and worst of the '80s. Plus, the Vaccines headline at the Casbah.

Sunday funday features the final Intervention of the summer at the Hard Rock Hotel, with Stafford Brothers & Feenixpawl. Later that night, so much live-music goodness to choose from: Depeche Mode and Crystal Castles are at Sleep Train Amphitheatre; Fall Out Boy, Panic at the Disco and Twenty One Pilots will perform at the Valley View Casino Center; and Psychedelic Furs take the stage at the Belly Up after an opening set by the local band the Burning of Rome.

Have a great weekend, and I'll see you in the pit and on the dance floor!
