As a die-hard Bears fan, I can definitely respect the need to watch a game by any means possible. One fellow die-hard, however, almost paid a disastrous monetary consequence in order to watch the Nov. 2 tilt between the Lions and his Bears.
You see, Wayne Burdick was headed out to a Caribbean cruise with his wife, when he realized he had a solid three-hour window in Miami to watch the Bears game. It wasn't on local television, but us Bears fans are nothing if not resourceful. We'll let Mr. Burdick explain:
