The Chargers may have some injury problems when they head to Tampa on Sunday to try and keep their playoff hopes alive.
Center Nick Hardwick is better after taking a bit hit on Sunday trying to make a block against the Chiefs. He was carted off with a concussion. Head coach Norv Turner said Hardwick will be re-examined on Wednesday but is hopeful he will play against the Bucs.
Meanwhile, wide receiver Malcom Floyd, who made some more key catches on Sunday, was thought to have a rib injury. It turned out to be a partially collapsed lung. Floyd flew back from Kansas City on Monday and might not play in Tampa.
