PLHS To Host Unity Basketball Game

Pointers student-athletes put together a fantastic event

Point Loma High School basketball players will team up with their special needs classmates for a “Unity Basketball Game” Thursday January, 21 at the school's main gym.

The event will feature two co-ed teams, Maroon vs. Gold, comprised of current school players and special needs students who expressed interest in getting involved with Pointer athletics.

PLHS men’s and women’s basketball players have spent the last few weeks working with the students on their basketball skills. Varsity players will coach each team. The game begins at 5:15 p.m. and will consist of four 10-minute quarters and a half-time show featuring the Unity Cheer Team.

The event is free and concessions will be available for fans to purchase. You can go to www.PointLomaHigh.com for more information.
