Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant dislocated his right ring finger early in the team's 105-88 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday.
Bryant, the reigning league MVP, played the duration of the game with the dislocated ring finger on his shooting hand. He was injured in the first quarter while defending Cleveland's LeBron James, but Bryant had the finger popped back into place and quickly returned.
"It was really, really painful," Bryant said. "I dove for the ball, and my finger popped out. I was afraid I was done. It's throbbing right now. I don't think it's broken, I had to play through it."
He recorded 20 points, 12 assists and six rebounds in the victory and said afterwards that he does not plan on missing any games. X-rays were taken after the contest, but no results were announced.
