Orlando, FL (Sports Network) - Los Angeles Lakersguard Jordan Farmar is expected to miss time due to a knee injury suffered in Friday's 89-87 loss to the Miami Heat.
Farmar had an MRI on Saturday in Orlando which revealed a tear of the lateral meniscus in his left knee. He is scheduled to fly back to LA on Sunday to have the knee looked at by team doctors on Monday.
The club will issue an update after team doctors check out the knee.
The 22-year-old Farmar is averaging 7.9 points and 2.2 rebounds this season.
