Former Gulls goalie John Gibson earned his second straight shutout in the Anaheim Ducks 1-0 victory over Edmonton.
Gibson collected 21 saves against the Oilers for his 4th shutout in 12 NHL starts this year.
Gibson started the season in San Diego with the Gulls before getting promoted, but now appears to have a stranglehold on the depth chart in Anaheim.
The Gulls lost 6-1 Thursday night in Texas. They are on the road again on New Year's Day in San Antonio.
The Gulls next home game is Friday, January 8th.
