The Wyoming offense finally put points on the board after an 8:09 drought on a free throw by Megan McGuffey and went into the locker room down by 11, 25-14.

San Diego State saw its lead get cut to five points at the 14:02 mark of the second half, but then began to pull away, as Layton-Bailes scored a lay-up and converted a three-point play to return the advantage to double-figures at 34-24.

The Cowgirls rallied to cut their deficit to single-digits with just over a minute left with a 6-0 run, but Quenese Davis closed out the game by hitting both of her free throws to preserve the 49-42 win.
