An Ohio fugitive decided he didnโt like the photo police released of him, so he did something police called "not very smart."
Donald "Chip" Pugh sent a Facebook message to the Lima Police with another selfie to share with the public.
โHere is a better photo that one is terrible,โ the photo was captioned. The police said in sharing the photo on Facebook: โWe thank him for being helpful, but now we would appreciate it if he would come speak to us at the LPD about his charges.โ
โI donโt know why he did that,โ Lt. Andy Green told NBC Chicago. โIt was a first for us.โ
The 45-year-old is wanted over a drunk driving incident and he is a person of interest in several other cases, including an arson and vandalism, police said.
Green said Pughโs photo request may help detectives apprehend him.
โItโs rather bold, itโs not very smart,โ Green said. โHe has drawn a lot of attention to himself and we hope the increased attention will help us track him down.โ

Green added that Pugh has communicated with officers, telling them he is out of state. However, police donโt trust that he is telling the truth.
