Is Lauryn Hill Making a Comeback?

Lauryn Hill is making a return to music after a decade-long absence from the charts.

The former Fugees singer's song, โ€œRepercussions,โ€ which was recently leaked online, debuted at Number 94 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, Billboard.com reported.

It was the first song by Hill as a solo artist to appear on the charts in over 10 years. Her last single as a lead vocalist was โ€œTurn Your Lights Down Low,โ€ which peaked at 49 in 1999.

Since the release of her mammoth 1998 album, โ€œThe Miseducation of Lauryn Hill,โ€ the singer has kept a very low profile. In an interview this past May with NPR, Hill explained why she hasnโ€™t put out any new music.

"There were a number of different reasons," she said. "But partly, the support system that I needed was not necessarily in place. There were things about myself, personal-growth things, that I had to go through in order to feel like it was worth it. In fact, as musicians and artists, it's important we have an environment โ€” and I guess when I say environment, I really mean the [music] industry, that really nurtures these gifts.

Hill is going to also bring the music out live to her fans when she will be one of the performers at todayโ€™s Rock the Bells festival in San Bernardino, Calif., reported  Rolling Stone. Joining her at the event will be Wu-Tang Clan, A Tribe Called Quest, KRS-One and Slick Rick.

She recently performed at the FESPAD Festival in Kigali, Rwanda.
