Craigslist Poster Puts Rahm Emanuel's City Hall Office Up For Rent

"The current tenant is in between jobs & preparing to vacate before the new year," the poster wrote

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel has not announced any plans of leaving office. However, a Chicago Craigslist poster clearly thinks he is on his way out.

An ad appeared Monday offering Emanuel’s “soon to be vacated” offices up for rent.

“Beautiful spacious fifth floor office overlooking Washington Blvd.,” the poster wrote. “This prestigious office was formally occupied by Harold Washington & both Richard Daley senior & junior. The current tenant is in between jobs & preparing to vacate before the new year.”

“Don't miss out on this great opportunity in Chicago's historic Loop,” the ad continued. “We are accepting applications & offers at this time, email us at your earliest convenience.”

Emanuel has faced mounting criticism over the handling of the Laquan McDonald case. Last week, protesters descended on Chicago calling for Emanuel's resignation.
