Law enforcement officers arrested 23 people in a meth and drug sweep Wednesday.
The effort, dubbed "Operation Tip the Scale,β checked on parolees in Ramona and Poway who may have violated their court-ordered conditions.
The arrests included driving under the influence, and illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.
One parole violation was that of a mother of an 18-month old child officials said. The woman was arrested for being under the influence a controlled substance and the child was taken into protective custody by County of San Diego Child Welfare Servicesβ Drug Endangered Children program.
More than a dozen offenders agreed to sit down witha drug-treatment counselor. According to officials, only one person declined the offer.
