Two Injured in Grant Hill Crash: SDFD

Two people were injured in a multiple-vehicle crash in the Logan Heights neighborhood of San Diego Wednesday night.

According to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department (SDFD), the crash occurred at 9:14 p.m. on 25th Street and Imperial Avenue.

A 49-year-old female driver and her 56-year-old female passenger were stopped at a red light, northbound 25th Street and Imperial Avenue. The light turned green and she started to drive northbound.

A 28-year-old female was traveling eastbound on Imperial Avenue at a high rate of speed. She ran the red light and broadsided the 49-year-old’s vehicle, causing it to spin and strike a 34-year-old male’s vehicle.

The 56-year-old passenger was ejected through the rear window and suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries. The 34-year-old male was not injured in the collision. The 49-year-old female sustained minor injuries.

The 28-year-old female was arrested for DUI.
