Firefighters gained the upper hand on a small brush fire Sunday, which threatened at least one home in San Marcos, CalFire officials said.
The fire burned about 1.5 acres in a residential neighborhood near Twin Oaks Valley Road and Quarry Road, Cal Fire Captain Mike Ramirez said.
The fire was 75 percent contained at 2:30 p.m. At least one home was threatened for a time.
Firefighters say the flames burned in moderate fuel.
