Sacramento US Marine Dies in Camp Pendleton Tactical Vehicle Crash

A U.S. Marine was killed during a training exercise on Camp Pendleton over the weekend.

Staff Sgt. Joshua Braica, 29, of Sacramento died Saturday, April 13, when the tactical vehicle he was driving rolled over, according to U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Special Operations Command.

Braica was a critical skills operator with 1st Marine Raider Battalion. He was driving an MRZR tactical vehicle when he was fatally injured. An investigation has been launched to determine what caused the crash.

He was rushed to Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla where he died the following night.

Braica was deployed twice since he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in July 2010. He is survived by a wife and son.
