Nearly 400 pounds of drugs were seized and two men, both U.S. citizens, are in federal custody.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents said they intercepted a 20-foot bay liner Sunday afternoon around 1:30 p.m. about a mile off Mission Bay.
During a customs search of the boat, they found 24 wrapped packages of marijuana weighing approximately 374 pounds hidden in a compartment. The street value of the drugs is unknown. The boat and the drugs were taken to a secure location.
The two men arrested, ages 47 and 52, are U.S. citizens, but it's not known where they're from. The Marine Task Force is now investigating the incident.
