Homeowner Left to Clean Up Mess After Tree Lands on Car in Carlsbad

A tree about as tall as a house came crashing down in Carlsbad overnight, partially landing a car parked in a driveway and the homeowner is left to clean up the mess Wednesday.

The tree fell on Pontiac Drive just after midnight in a neighborhood off of Carlsbad Village Drive, landing mostly on a city street but also in the homeowner's driveway.

A city worker was called to clean up the portion of the tree that landed onto the street and sidewalk but said the homeowner would be responsible for clearing up the limbs that landed within his property, including on top of his Kia.

It was not clear if the tree fall did any damage to the home itself.

No one was hurt.
